What Moves You
Sweat.
It’s our body’s natural method of cooling itself down.
Made almost completely of water and mixed with a bit of salt and sugar—our sweat is only a shot of tequila and squeeze of lime short of a Margarita.
But sweat also has a natural ability to bring us together.
Whether it’s on the spin bike, the yoga mat, or the HIIT room floor, there are some surprising benefits that come from sweating it out together.
[Motivation] It's both inspiring and motivating to be surrounded by dedicated, like-minded individuals. It doesn't get much more empowering than a spin class with an encouraging instructor and supportive people all working hard together. You’re more likely to achieve your own goals when you see those around you achieving theirs.
[Efficiency] Even if you already feel competent doing a particular exercise, bringing along a friend, colleague or a romantic partner is a fantastic way to boost your energy. The mere presence of someone else can improve how much weight you can lift in a HIIT class or your flexibility on the yoga mat without you necessarily being aware of their influence.
[Love] Yes! exercise induces the same symptoms as arousal—sweaty hands, racing pulse, shortness of breath… You know where we’re going with this. These symptoms mirror the thrill of romantic attraction. Use this to your advantage by inviting your crush to your next HIIT, spin, or yoga class. The results? A boost to your attractiveness in his or her eyes.
[Community] When you work out together, you create a context in which you can coordinate your actions. For example, you might lift weights in rhythm during a HIIT class, or move on the same foot, side-to-side in a spin class. Exercising together provides an opportunity to create such connection, benefiting both your health and your relationship with those around you.
We look forward to sweating with you soon.
