Weekend 1: Fascial Anatomy and the Physiology of Stretching
Basic muscular anatomy and joint movements will be reviewed before diving deep into the fascial system, which will include a discussion on Tom Myer’s Anatomy Trains and how to teach yoga asana with reference to fascial anatomy. The role that the nervous system plays in yoga will be integrated into a technical discussion on the physiology of stretching.

Weekend 2: Postural Dysfunction and Injury
For many students, yoga asana can be exceptionally challenging because their everyday posture is dysfunctional. This course will cover common postural dysfunctions and basic pathologies that yoga teachers should be aware of in guiding a physical practice.
