Jennifer Clarke
I have been practicing and teaching yoga for about 20 years, accumulating thousands of hours of training in yoga, dance & movement, meditation, anatomy, energy healing, and more. I am an experienced 500-hour registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and have studied with Yoga Works, Open Source Yoga, and students of B.K.S. Iyengar and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Additionally, I am trained in Trauma-Informed Yoga, bringing a sensitive and inclusive approach to my teaching. I have extensively practiced and taught Ashtanga Vinyasa, Restorative, Hatha yoga, as well as Qigong and somatic movement and dance.
Yoga has been a powerful tool for navigating life’s challenges, helping me stay present, grounded, and aligned with my intentions. To me, yoga is a living practice, and it continues to evolve alongside me, supporting self-care and growth. For nearly two decades, I’ve taught 5–10 classes weekly, and for the past eight years, I’ve also led Yoga Teacher Training programs. I am deeply grateful to my students, including those who have studied with me since the beginning of my journey. Teaching yoga remains a privilege and a source of profound connection and inspiration.
Class Description:
Jennifer teaches an alignment-based, all-levels Hatha yoga class. This class opens and aligns areas of tightness such as hips, shoulders, spine and legs. Jennifer teaches detailed instruction based on anatomical alignment while guiding the class to maintain connection with the breath. Each class is designed to stretch, open and align tight areas that may be limiting movement in daily life or even causing discomfort or pain. This class is both lengthening and strengthening to the body which helps the student to find daily postural support. Importantly, all these components support the mind to find presence and perspective. Modifications will always be offered ensuring every student can explore their practice safely and meaningfully.
