NORA
Nora first came to yoga more than eight years ago, somewhat skeptical and simply looking for a way to connect with a friend while visiting home. What began with online classes and a focus on the physical benefits of movement quickly became something much more lasting. Yoga gave her a way to move freely, breathe more intentionally, and create a sense of consistency in a life that was otherwise always changing. In 2021, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Passage, not because she had always planned to teach, but because she wanted to honour a practice that had become such an important part of her life. Teaching came naturally from there. Since completing her training, Nora has continued her professional development through workshops in creative sequencing, breathwork, and inversions.
Nora approaches her classes with equal parts structure and creativity, thoughtfully building sequences that pair movement and breath while leaving space to explore. She primarily teaches slower flows and Vinyasa, incorporating longer, deeper holds that invite the practice to move beyond the physical and into the mental and emotional. Her classes are the ones she would want to take herself: grounded, intentional, challenging when appropriate, and welcoming to every body. For Nora, the mat is a safe space to arrive exactly as you are. A tired body, a busy mind, or a heavy heart should never be a reason to stay away. Yoga can meet you where you are and give you something to carry with you when you leave. As a lifelong movement enthusiast, Nora sees yoga as an anchor that supports everything else she does, from movement and work to relationships, growth, and everyday life.
